This sounds like some books I read recently on Cajun/Acadian French customs. Like the one about how a dozen cups of strong (as in, ‘could dissolve an axe blade’) coffee is considered a fine start to your day.

I remember trying the pills before, I made the mistake of taking 2 of them(I had a much lower tolerance level at that time).

I remember reading about Dave Grohl taking in 5-6 pots of coffee a day, he ended up getting chest pains after doing that for a while and went to the hospital.
