G1 does need love too.
Like I said, the fact that the one who was a main character was introduced as and kept being called Lickety Split stands out to me more than any of that. Even if there’s another, it’s hard to say this one’s not Lickety Split when the movie clearly establishes that she is.

Lickety-Split appeared in the original special and the series, and was clearly grown up from the way she spoke.

Baby Lickety-Split sounded much younger, and appeared in the movie and also in the TV series. Also, LS had 6 ice-cream cones on her flank in the series, while Baby LS had only 3. :)
If it were like that in the show, I suppose, but it’s not like Heart Throb and Baby Heart Throb where you have clear establishment of two characters and actually being mother-daughter-y as Hasbro intended.
To me, the pony who said “I’m Lickety Split” is Lickety Split.
True, but as there are two distinct ponies - Lickety Split, and Baby Lickety Split - some differentiation between them is kinda necessary, don’t you agree? :)
Well, in the movie, she introduced herself as “I’m Lickety Split, a baby pony” and went on to be called by either name thereafter.
(the artist’s comment on deviantart says it’s Baby, not adult)
