You could say that about any character, they’ve all had  
large amounts of characterization throughout season 2,  
Pinkie most of all. But I’m talking about dedicated episodes,  
of which Rarity has only had a few in the past season.

Are people still upset over this? Jesus fucking Christ, she’s had enough exposition as it is! Practically half of season 2 was dedicated to her pompous ass. Get over it, there are other characters that are currently more deserving of screen-time than her.
