Agreed. I am NOT liking the crystal wings, nor those outfits, nor Sunset hair in this form. Daydream Shimmer is still her ultimate form in my books. Seriously Hasbro/DHX, you had one job…

When it comes to the EqG series, everything needs to be rushed as every movie is a standalone with loose ties to the previous ones.

I mean, yeah, they are a power up from their “pony up by showing their dominant character/using instruments” thingy.  
If the end is to go by, their magical adventures is just starting and they might get more magic more than they currently have.

But Sunset did the same thing as Human Twilight did, albeit with a different result and not prematurely… but there’s no ascension according to the commentary of FG.
 
…Or maybe I’m just salty because with pony Twilight we’ve seen her learn about friendship for three seasons before her ascension; whereas human Twilight only faced her “inner darkness” and has (from what I can remember) barely any interaction with the Humane 6 apart from Sunset.

& yes, Sunset’s & Rarity’s turned out the best.

Human Twilight having wings at first pony up felt like cheating just because pony Twilight has them.  
At least make those wings a power up or something.  
Or maybe the logic of her having wings is that the magic came into the human world when pony Twilight is already an alicorn that time.
 
On the other hand, Sunset and Rarity has the best design.

It honestly caught me way off guard ‘cause it didn’t seem like it was going to happen. & at least when it happened to the pony Twilight every character made a big deal about it, nobody even really mentions it here, (as far as I remember)! I mean come on, movie designers, get with it!
