“This is part one of a picture series I’m working on! I just adore the idea that the Elements of Harmony work with more than just one group of ponies. And, quite frankly, I LOVE that the student six are all different species and they, too, can wield the elements!
 
“So here we have the Elements of Magic and Laughter represented by the following:
 
“1. Starswirl the Bearded - Sorcery, Twilight Sparkle & Gallus - Magic (actually, I’m not sure why he represents the Element of Magic, but then again he is a pretty magical griffon despite having no magical abilities! I just love the sarcastic guy!)
 
“2. Somnambula - Hope, Pinkie Pie & Silverstream - Laughter (It was obvious from the beginning that Silverstream would represent the laughter aspect. She’s as goofy, loud, and outgoing as Pinkie Pie, so no wonder it was her that ended up becoming that!)
 
“OH, and I wanted to include all the magical artifacts that each character has. Starswirl has his journal, Somnambula her blindfold, Twilight her crown, Pinkie her element, Gallus his crown (that belonged to a past Griffon king), and Silverstream her amulet (which belongs to her people).
