-Great!
-She’s powerful!
-Powerful?…
-She’s Metal Gear!
-METAL GEAR?!
This is not
As I said, it’s arguable if it is or isn’t.
I don’t think the twilicane was fanservice, but that is just how I look at it.
I mean a panning shot over every detail of a mecha, that is fanservice.
A long fight scene showing up how hits effect the combatants, that is fanservice.
The traditional sense of the word isn’t somthing that would conflict with the rating, only what it is most commonly used for.
Is it really a callback by the fourth appearance of what was nothing but a quick gag in the first place?
Callback sounds too important.

Oh have we forgotten all the fun we had scanning every frame for a certain wall-eye’d gray pony in previous episodes? They weren’t even trying to hide it either.
Fair enough. I fail to see how so many of the fans don;t get that though.
If Trixie was put in and it wasn’t part of the plot but they draw attention to her, then it would be fanservice.
And the thing about the Twilicane in “The Gift of the Maud Pie” might be arguable if it is or isn’t, but as it really isn’t drawing any attention to it then I would say it wasn’t.

Then I have no idea how this counts. Just because something pleases fans does not mean it was put there specifically to do so.
That’s what it usually refers to but actually it’s anything that is put in to please the audience in some way.
Edited
I do. Fanservice is sexualizing a popular character in order to satisfy fans’ desires to lust after their favorite characters. It started (well, was popularized, at least) with Evangelion with Misato who did the previews for the next episode and said things like “Oh, and there’ll be more fanservice next time too!”
Those are visual callbacks, not fanservice. Again, does anyone in this fandom know what fanservice actually is?
More like great and powerful buzzwords.
Fanservice? That would be like knocking in the Twilicane into S06E03 - The Gift of the Maud Pie along with Smarty Pants, in the same Ep?
That kind of Fanservice?
Do you even know what fanservice is? Why does it matter?
Perhaps is it that I can tell from: one person’s previous words + current behaviour = actual character of person?
Was that what you meant by “decipher one’s character”? It does not seem so extra-ordinary or special.
I’m so glad that you have the super power to completely decipher someone’s character from one sentence. And, since my sarcasm is apparently way too subtle for you, I look forward to next Saturday when the writers pull a fast one on you like they just did with the Gauntlet of Fire teaser.

I guess there are those who’d never change. At least not completely.
Remember, she’s still her.
It is just a sentence to be exact, not four words. I can tell from Trixie’s smirk, compared against what I know about her behaviour from the end of “Magic Duel”.
