There should be some sort of distinction between the character Dumbbell and an actual dumbell.

Is character Dumbbell’s name parsed in any specific way? Like “Dumb Bell?” That could help. Sticking (character) and (object) at the end of both tags would be too clunky I think.

Hey speaking of Dumbbell. May I request a mass tag change? There is a DumbbellxRainbow Dash ship tag but it’s called “dumbdash”. Funny but kind of unfortunate. Doesn’t do the ship many favors. So I’d like to know if that can be changed to “dashbell”.
 
Just so you know, I’m not the only one who wants a tag change. But I’m probably the only person to come here and ask for it.

I don’t think it matters much really…If it was me I’d let Derpibooru have their little in jokes.
 
But obviously stuff’s been changed by popular demand (ie. a few people asking for it) before. :)  
(Dashbell does sound neater, I’ll admit that.)

Is there (and should there be) a tag for gif’s ripped from flashes?

I don’t think there is, but simply putting the flash in the image’s source should suffice.

While the MLP Wiki claims that his name is spelled Dumb-Bell, I’ve never seen anyone type it like that.
 
Does it not matter if it’s the official spelling?

I keep wantin got call them “deer legs” but that’s not the popular tag apparently.
 
“pointy ponies” refers to something different.

Nobody uses Dumb-Bell because typing out that - is annoying. Nobody writes Twilight-Sparkle.

When “stuff’s been changed by popular demand” equals “one or two guys retagging all of it because they don’t like the name” then yes, there seems to be popular demand.  
Other than that iirc the dashbell tag didn’t exist up until a few weeks ago, whereas dumbdash has existed from pretty much the very beginning.
 
If people want, I guess I can change it to dashbell though I’m just going to butt in that personally (opinion mode activate) I’ve always quite liked dumbdash (wouldn’t be too surprised if I’m watching that, even).  
I won’t mind if people want it changed, but I do mind people retagging things that have an implication to something else without asking anyone just because it doesn’t appeal them (which is why I aliased it back into dumbdash in the first place)

Well so far I’m the only one to come here and ask for a tag change to dashbell. And I guess as long as I am the only one, it won’t be changed. Oh well. At least I get points for trying.
 
Also, lol, what else does dumbdash implicate? Rainbow Dash being stupid?

Eh, some of the others also mentioned dashbell sounds nicer. And it’s not a huge shipping tag like wanting appledash -> rainbowjack or something, so I doubt many people will mind it. Then again, this IS shipping we’re talking about.  
imo, dashbell also sounds almost like sweetie x dash shipping (it probably exists), but if people think that won’t cause confusion, I’m fine with changing it.

Maybe DumbbellDash. But, heh, it might as well stay dumbdash because it is shorter.

Sorry to interrupt the discussion, but has anyone come to a consensus about “wall of faves” tag? It isn’t something that’s critically important, but it is something that probably needs to be talked about.

(Personally I feel both that and “upvotes galore” could be deleted easily; they are artifacts from a time when we did not have searching by score.)

Well I’m asking because little while ago, I was wondering if there was a specific number tied to the “wall of faves” tag. It doesn’t seem to have one the way the “upvotes galore” tag does.

Need name and tag for “AJ is a BG pony” jokes.

Generally we use the best pony tags for “Applejack is best background pony” but I suppose if you wanted to make a tag for her being a background character in general I’d call it applejack is a background pony because it reads better.

I believe the latter was what Vree referred to. The “background pony” joke only sometimes occurs in the “best background pony” context, and in those cases, it’s more of an insult.

How long does an image have to be up for in order to qualify for the [no favorite from roboshi](/tags/no+favorite+from+roboshi) tag?
