Is there a way to automatically make the tag box bigger than two lines when entering tag editing mode? It’s a pain to manually expand/browse to target tags that need to be removed.

What do you think of adding janitor net-bots to the site? they could help with stuff like tags and filters. Wikia has them, not just tumblr.

Though we do have one highly experimental AI bot that is doing a lot of work for us. You may have seen them around the site and in tag histories.

Ability to disable certain parts of the sidebar instead of just disabling it altogether?

I’d argue that the “whole point of favs” is for bookmarking, and not as a public display of every weird kink you’ve looked at. When you’re a SFW artist and you end up contacted by followers about your very-NSFW favs? Not cool. You shouldn’t have to maintain multiple accounts just to keep the simple privacy that nearly every other site permits.
 
It’s too easy to be fine with something like that if it hasn’t been a problem, but when it becomes a problem? What are you supposed to do? Remove your artist tag? Delete your fav list? That’s a pain when you have thousands of favs, and you’d actually like to be able to find some of them again.
 
What about the possibility of an “export all favs to pool” function, and a “remove all favourites” function to pair with it? Is there some potential in that, or would it be a waste of time to make a thread for it?

Shit, I don’t think I’ve just upvoted a single post. To be fair I can’t stand actual porn. Nudity, yes, but… Maybe that’s why I get a lot of downvotes (Nah, it’s because I’m using SFM models of canon characters, isn’t it?

That seems like exactly the purpose of votes.

Faves have always been public thumbs-up since the first imageboard was spawned, way before derpi, and the term continues to be used on other sort of sites as “public like” (like the rather well-known DA). The point of them was always to say “I like this enough to let others know”.
 
It’s likely possible to use the API to read out your favelist in one account and redo it on another, but we have no plans for any on-site functionality to do so.

Are you using the plain text box or the fancy one? Whichever it is, shouldn’t this then also apply to various other boxes? Like the comment box, image description, etc? I agree it would be a nice feature, I have no intention to drop the resizability, but until you mess with it at least, it should probably grow as you type.

If there’s not too many faves, you could just do a faved_by:myotheraccount,-my:faves and keep faving whatever comes up until it’s empty. But afterwards don’t forget to go back to myotheraccount and unfave/unvote everything.

I’m using the fancy editor. And other boxes don’t matter nearly as much because the inconvenience is much lesser because no one types out lengthy texts in small post/comment boxes dozens of times per minute.
 
Which is how often I have to manually expand the fancy tag edit box when I’m doing tag cleanup and happen to be on a roll, and a tag that needs to be removed happens to be somewhere above the last two lines of tags.
 
Just five or six lines would be a great improvement, it doesn’t fit the longest tag lists but it’d be much easier to find a specific row by browsing, what with the bigger ‘hitbox’.

I would rather very ridiculously much prefer if the boxes couldn’t expand automatically, requiring explicit user input (aka, dragging the corner) to do so. Spooky action at the webpage irritates me.  
That said, I agree with the others: having tag editing box be larger by default would be nice.

Private galleries, definitely, but anonymous public galleries could work just as well. I was also thinking about an “add all with tag” option for importing from faved_by:user, but I guess that wouldn’t be useful enough for other tags to be justify the dev time? It’d help tremendously in my case, at least, niche though it may be.
 
I’d be thrilled to have alternatives, though while it definitely helps going forward, it doesn’t do much for the few thousand problem favs that’re already there. Kind of at a loss for what to actually do about that before family ends up finding their way here.

If this is a grave and urgent problem for you I would suggest reporting yourself and asking for your faves to be nuked, after you either move them to a separate account or a gallery under a separate account.

If your family raising a stink about you having NSFW in favorites (or, indeed, finding your accounts without you having told them) is a problem, I suggest the universal solution of “remove family”. Improves relations with the relatives in unprecedented 100% (you heard that right, one hundred percent!) of cases! YMMW on how much they improve.  
That said, while removing slightly under two thousand images from faves is, while arduous, doable. Moving them to other account, however, is pretty much improbable without access to site’s backend and knowledge of scripting.  
Also, your ponies are cute!
 
P.S. If “remove family” is impossible for whatever reason, then what TSP said is also an option. Move your faves to an account not associated with you.  
You can be logged into both your current and alternate accounts at same time by using two different domains: derpibooru.org and trixiebooru.org for example.

The tag edit box already automatically resizes. Look at any picture with a bunch of tags and see how the tag area shrinks when you enter tag edit mode.

Keep in mind that upvotes are private, and unlike some other sites you can view your upvotes at any time (just search my:upvotes or select “Upvotes” in the user menu).
