I have been a lurker for five years. This is not okay.

Goodness. If you think this year’s joke was bad, then I wonder what you thought about last year’s joke, when Derpibooru became Communistbooru for a day and a half (the site actually didn’t return back to normal until well into April 2):

And you know what? Last year, you could not turn off Communistbooru. You had to play along, or not visit Derpi until the day had passed. This year, you could turn it off and use the site normally.

oh my gosh that was so awesome - I mean, it’s one thing for the user viewable face of the site to be pranked, but EVERYTHING was pranked.
 
I wish everyone could see what some of us see as moderators when we use the site on April Fools - the site is pranked all the way in every direction :)
 
Like, this April Fool’s I didn’t have sufficient funds to buy some of the moderator DLC :)

Some of it is secret. I mean, these are moderation tools, and … “pranked” or not, I’m not sure that sharing that’s a good thing :)
 
Just … rest assured, whatever you see during April Fool’s day, know that it goes to the core - EVERYTHING is pranked :)
