oh my gosh that was so awesome - I mean, it’s one thing for the user viewable face of the site to be pranked, but EVERYTHING was pranked.
 
I wish everyone could see what some of us see as moderators when we use the site on April Fools - the site is pranked all the way in every direction :)
 
Like, this April Fool’s I didn’t have sufficient funds to buy some of the moderator DLC :)

The mod tools were mostly in russian for a day and ban button said “send to siberia”

Goodness. If you think this year’s joke was bad, then I wonder what you thought about last year’s joke, when Derpibooru became Communistbooru for a day and a half (the site actually didn’t return back to normal until well into April 2):

And you know what? Last year, you could not turn off Communistbooru. You had to play along, or not visit Derpi until the day had passed. This year, you could turn it off and use the site normally.

Worst April Fools so far, the credit card joke is bad taste and the dead pixel isn’t even humor, it’s just pure being a dick.

Honestly, it was really annoying how buying the store things scrolled the page back up to the top each time, so you had to scroll down to the bottom like 6 times in a row in order to get everything back to normal. Had it not done that, it would’ve been super easy to just press all the buttons and be done with it.
 
But it probably helped that I went to Derpi yesterday already expecting that their April Fools joke had started, so I wasn’t caught off-guard by the joke.

Well, the directive means each country in the EU has to make their own law within a reasonable amount of time, so nothing actually has happened yet. If this rumor about the MPs not even knowing which thing they were voting for was even true, there can be argument on that end, or there can be citizen lobbying at a country level to control how the law gets enacted.

I’m glad it worked for you. I got a white screen when I clicked on the store. It was the only time I’ve ever had an issue with the site.
 
What I’m trying to say is that even though it’ll make people aware of Article 13, it’ll trivialize it and make it seem like not such a big deal. We’ll probably just have to agree to disagree on that.

Store worked perfectly fine for me on my phone and ipad, There was nothing to register, You clicked a few buttons and the messages went away. Making jokes about article 13 is a good way to make people aware of it.

The ‘store’ was broken on mobile for me while I was at work, and by the time I got off work to get a real computer and consider registering and seeing what all this alleged fun was about, it was taken down. So I got the worst of both worlds, I suppose.
 
As an aside, did you really need to roll Article 13 into this? I don’t consider it a laughing matter, and having it mixed into what is supposed to be a fun holiday isn’t really doing it justice.

I mean it was pretty annoying but you just had to click a few buttons and it goes away forever. It would have taken you less time to just click the store buttons than it took to type this post.
