Banning stuff that’s pony related because SOME PEOPLE don’t like it?  
I could understand if either of those were illegal ANYWHERE, but they aren’t. Users have the ability to filter what they do and don’t see, and REGARDLESS of HOW MANY people like or dislike something, that doesn’t change the fact that it’s related to MLP, and thus should be allowed on DB. Hide things by default, but DON’T BAN THEM.

Anything that is pony related should be allowed, just as long the pictures get tagged correctly.

why do they need to be banned in the first place? we have a tag system. you don’t like it, filter it out! thats that i do with scat, watersports and diapers. anyone who is campaigning to banned other’s fetishes is just a spoil sport. there is no good reason for new banned content unless a law just got past that says you can’t cum on toys or dress up like a pony and pose nude.

There’s a difference, I think, between being hostile towards a select few and being considerate of the majority of the users. Not that this rule change is really hostile, anyway - I’m sure you’d agree that the negativity in the comments and the votes on these pictures far outweighs the simple message of “please post that content elsewhere.”  
After all, this is the Internet, there are plenty of other sites designed for posting human nudity where they will be welcome. You know what I mean.

Well, for cum on toy, i have never seen photos of pony toys with cum on it, and cum looks exactly like glue anyway.
 
For human nudity, the ponies are all naked in the show… except for Rarity s’ parents and a few high-class ponies…

I am tolerant and understand that some people might like it.
 
But derpibooru shouldn’t be a garbage dump.
 
I vote highly against allowing content with these two tags.

Of course spam images may attempt to skate through under these guidelines, but I have faith in the tagging and moderation of this site. My only real concern is community-sanctioned attention-whoring. See: Kinkie Pie

I don’t get how this is a real issue. YOU can FILTER what you DON’T LIKE. Hiding content by default IS FINE BY ME, but the only arguments I’m seeing for banning those things is “I don’t like it.”.

There are images of random nobodies on the site just here because they’re wearing a pony shirt or there’s a brushable in the background or whatever. There’s a stark difference between “pony related” and “it has pony, thus a place on the board”.
 
I don’t want to wake up one day to find someone’s uploaded every frame of a porno and photoshopped Rarity’s cutie mark onto a girl’s butt to make it “pony related”, or three dozen pictures of in-use toilets because there’s an Applejack blindbag on the seat.

This thread is about banning human nudity, not people showing off merch. I do agree that a brushable just being in the background isn’t enough to warrant an upload here, though.
 
And the two examples that you gave would be considered spam anyway.

The thread and poll is about various things. The primary problem are images like the example I gave; other options on the poll are their for fairness and to clarify exactly what the problem is without a blanket ban.
 
And no, under the current rules my examples would not be considered spam.

The “don’t like it, filter it” argument holds exactly zero water until the relevant tags become mandatory under threat of mod discipline.
 
That’s not gonna happen anytime soon.
 
I have dozens of what should be completely redundant tags in my block list because people can’t be arsed to tag their shit properly.

Above background pony is correct. Right now, there isn’t anything in the rules to prevent images like that (or worse) from being posted.
 
Just because there happens to be a pony in the image does not mean we have to host that image. We already disallow some content, and we have every right to decide what that content is. So what if the only reason people are giving is that they don’t want it here? We could have just as easily banned the content without making this poll at all. But we made the poll, because we value the community.
 
That’s the part you need to keep in mind. This site isn’t just a repository of images with ponies in them, it’s a community. And if you tell that community to “just filter” something that no one wants, or even “just unfilter” something arbitrarily filtered by default, that’s disrespectful to everyone on the site.

I’m not trying to say that you DON’T have the RIGHT to disallow things.
 
And what about the people that actually DO like those kinds of images? Is disregarding them not disrespectful? Is it okay to disrespect some of your community as long as it isn’t the majority? You already filter things by default, so according to your own logic, you already disrespect “everyone on the site”.

Personally I’d rather we limit nude photography to cosplay, body-paint and stuff like that were there is a clear artistic merit to the picture. other stuff isn’t really a pony art.
 
One more problem with exhibitionism. There have been many cases in recent years where people took photos of other without their consent, or under the false promise to keep them private and uploaded them to the net. If we are to allow nude photos to be on this site we have to make some effort to make sure that the photos were were uploaded with the agreement of the person in them, and that the person is an adult.
 
Putting cam on toys on automatic hiding is the least we can do about it. Though i will be more then fine if you just choose to ban it.

The difference is that I’m not someone that can control what is and isn’t allowed. I said I agreed with it, not that it should be banned.

The difference is that those existing filters aren’t arbitrary. We didn’t just wake up one day and decide that “seizure warning” should have a spoiler image, we did it because people asked.  
As to respecting the people who do like this content, we’re not disregarding them. It might turn out that something we thought was over the line on human nudity might actually be widely supported, so we ran the poll.
