Crazy Headcanons

Why does everyone think The MLPverse hates Blueblood? In The show its shown That All Thw Nobles are as Awful as him except for Fancy Pants.

I’d imagine the Legend of the Mare on the Moon is known throughout the ages to many different cultures, such as the Griffin Kingdom and the Saddle Arabians. Many cultures have their own versions of the legend.

This one I came up with while working on an MLP card game:
 
The Elements of Harmony are appropriately named. They represent elemental forces in Equestrian magic that even the villains of the Ponyverse draw strength from. For example, Discord is tied to Laughter, being a prankster at heart, and the Changelings are empowered by their Loyalty to each other. The reason dark magic is so dangerous is because it’s not associated with any element and can thus be used by completely amoral monsters like Sombra.

So I guess Nightmare Moon is… Honesty, perhaps? I mean, she declared her intents and purpose loud and clear for everyone to hear…  
Or maybe she is Generosity, for wanting to share her “beautiful” night with everypony…

If I had to guess, I’d say Generosity. Which would nicely tie into how the Nightmare Thingy latched onto Rarity in the IDW arc.

I like the idea of prosthetic horns for insecure ponies/horses.

Celestia lost against Chrysalis on purpose to prevent herself from using to much force that would result in fatality. Killing Chrysalis was not her intention, but to subdue her to leave. Things did not go as planned. Imagine what people would think about Celestia, whom they’ve always knew as as kind and merciful ruler, had she chose that lethal approach when dealing with Chrysalis, in front of a large crowd.

They barely knew Chrys. Sombra had bad history to bury him.

True but she had just transformed from looking like Cadance into an insectoid pony monster in a burst of green fire, which is the universal sign for evil. I doubt there would have been that much long term fallout from basically just incinerating Chrysalis.
 
Yeah some ponies might have been freaked out, but it sure as hell beats having a pack of emotion eating shape shifters running the place.

Also, I believe that Sombra himself was long dead, gone. The only driving him was the evil itself that completely took over what is left of him. Which leads me to believe that the crown he was wearing had something to do with all this. I think it was a magic artifact.

Here’s one that just popped into my head and is completely half baked and likely completely wrong!
 
Pony cuteness is actually a the result of several evolutionary advantages. Ponies are small but quick, allowing them to more easily evade predators, they have extremely large eyes which are also good for spotting and then fleeing from various things that want to eat them, and they tend to retain a lot of fat allowing them to survive in areas without magically controlled weather, at least for a time.

Yes, I can agree with this quite nicely.

Very few unicorns are as powerful as Twilight and the princesses. All unicorns are capable of performing magic but only a few are very skilled at it. It takes years of education and practice to be a very powerful unicorn. The most basic trick that unicorns can do (and one of the first ones they learn as a foal) is telekinesis and most are only limited to picking up objects like pens, cups, books, small tools etc. It takes a lot more skill and magic to pick up heavier objects (like huge boulders). Spells like teleportation, phasing through solid objects, force fields, etc. are limited to the highly skilled unicorns which only make up about 30% of the unicorn population.
 
This became my headcanon after I have noticed many bronies boasting that unicorns are a lot better than pegasi and earth ponies as well as many people making unicorn OC’s who’s magic capabilities can compete with Princess Celestia. (It shows your OC doesn’t have to be an alicorn to be a Mary-Sue.) I also highly doubt that all or even most of the unicorns in MLP are as powerful as Twilight or Celestia. The same applies to pegasi and earth ponies with their respective abilities. Most unicorns are not as powerful as Twilight, most pegasi are not as fast or agile as Rainbow Dash, and most earth ponies are not as strong as Applejack.

That’s not headcanon. It’s stated on screen, more than once. If anything, your estimates for unicorns with advanced magical skills is unreasonably high.

That headcanon isn’t crazy. Its not crazy at all!
 
I believe it was actually stated in the show itself that most unicorns only know a few bits of magic related to their special talent (such as Rarity’s gem finding spell). So yes, that is a totally reasonable headcanon and not crazy at all.
 
Here’s a proper crazy headcanon:
 
Rarity’s weapon of choice is a silk scarf that she uses to telekinetically strangle her foes. After all she doesn’t want to get blood everywhere! That would make a frightful mess.
 
Edit: which is why she made sure she had more than one scarf when they went to deal with the dragon! She was planning on killing it all along, just underestimated the width of its neck is all.

A depressing amount of unicorn spells can be countered by throwing something reasonably large in it’s path. Or, failing that, at the caster.

But the basic levitation alone is a tremendous advantage for unicorns over the other races. They can handle dangerous things like hot iron, corrosives, and electrical things without tools or even touching and even contaminating them.  
Why would Lyra give that up for human hands?

Pretty sure that applies to all spell casters in all mediums. ^{(seriously, they should have just called in a sniper team to deal with Voldemort)}

For filthy, filthy reasons. Also maybe the amount of fine control unicorns are capable varies from individual to individual, so while yeah maybe all unicorns can lift stuff, but not all of them could thread a needle with it.
