Also, I get worried for nothing (especially how EqG handles female characters more than male ones so my NOTPs like Rarijack and SunsetSparkle can be canonized), but sometimes people celebrate the canonization of my NOTPs. However, some people would disagree and say it’s not canon, despite the amounts of screentime and chemistry that a ship has.
 
Not to mention, fanfiction cannot fix canon since yes, It’s unofficial but the thing is, a fanfic written by a fan will never get to be adapted into a television episode or a feature film, and the only way to see fanfiction come to life is by using my imagination, and that’s it.
 
Besides, No matter how other people like Sparity and Fluttermac, I always feel like the only one since canon nazis exist to hate on them just because of many circumstances.

Seeing as Rarispike is one-sided in the show, and Flutters and Mac never interacted once once… Either way, I don’t ship the latter, and only half ship the former.

Sparity has over 5,000 tagged images on here and Fluttermac has over 2,000 images. Both of which had SFW shipping pictures posted on here three days ago. Pretty sure that means they’re both loved.
 
Guess what one of the ships I like is? Braeburn/Cherry Jubilee. It currently only has 22 tagged images here with the last SFW one being uploaded 3 years ago. And you know what? I don’t give two flying feathers if it’s popular or well loved or not. Nor do I complain about other people not liking it. It’s seriously not that hard to just like a ship on your own and love it without minding it not being popular or not.
 
Chrys’ favorite ship is Twilight/Chrysalis. That ship’s not too popular. A lot of us here have ships that aren’t popular and that’s okay. Take it easy, please.

I apologize if I am acting like a fanon nazi or something. I just want to enjoy my ships without any harsh negativity or canon fanboys against them.
 
Hence the safe haven thing, which, hate to tell you, but Badheart already created another thread here. (Unless you want a mod to lock the thread, it’s too late)
 
Also, is canon not always necessary for shipping?

There’s no canon fanboys/fangirls here. While some of us like canon ships, some of us also happen to like ones that aren’t canon either. For example, MeanLucario, Ice, and I ship MarbleMac and that’s not canon since SugarMac is the current Big Mac ship in the show. So no, canon is not always necessary for shipping. Like I said before, lots of us here ship things that aren’t canon.
 
I don’t want a mod to lock that thread. Why would you think that? If that thread is a way for you guys to be happy, then it’s fine by me. I’m okay with other shipping threads existing anyways and welcome it (this one sometimes gets rather too cynical and bitter for my tastes so more optimistic shipping threads are a great idea to me).

Interesting, I know exactly who my NOTP is. Every time I think about it I want to scream, “NO!” like Darth Vader. It’s a popular ship too. Sparity

I blocked that one artist because of Sparity. Their name starts with P, I forgot it.

I think Discoshy might becoming canon. Feel free to disagree.
