The map can apparently keep existing in alternate futures because “it is connected to the Tree of Harmony” (-Twily).

Well, now that the season is over, time for my last post here.
This is the first two-parter i’ve watched ever since the pilot. usually i don’t watch two-parters because that is too time-consuming or because i just don’t want to watch some episodes (read: Twilight’s Kingdom), but, i decided to watch that anyway, just in case.
As i have already said before, I already thought that this would be at least reasonable, but this turned out to be even better than what i expected. even Glimmerdemption failed to disappoint me, although this might be because i haven’t watched “The Cutie Map” and it might develop into a “The Best Night Ever” situation, where this is the only episode left for me to finish the season, but, i always keep procastinating and never get around to watch it. it’s been two years since i started putting that on hold.
Well, see you next year, hopefully.

I’ve raised my grade for the finale from 6.3 to 7/10. While I’m still not fond of the haphazard ending, The Cutie Re-Mark deserves nothing less than an average grade.

That only seemed to be in there so that they can skip the problem of travelling in space too, instead of just time. (They needed a shortcut to Star’s home village so that they can watch her flashback without wasting time travelling, so one writer was probably like, “okay so have the map take them there and make Star say somethign about why it can do that, we don’t have screentime for another balloon montage”. It is pure plot device, sure.)

Also rather realistically. Sunset seemed to have gotten it harder when she did not really do much wrong other than bullying an entire school.
Starlight Glimmer went way out as to indoctrinate and attempted murder, tried to destroy everything in the process. She got off easy.
