Season 6 Episode Discussion [Speculation/Theories/Beware of Spoilers]

Eh 6.5/10. Trixie was great but the hypocrisy on Twilight’s part and Starlight Glimmer bring it down. Kind of a meh episode. Ending joke was pretty good though. Also nice to see the Mane 6 can at least still cameo in the show.

Just one thing about Trixie’s redemption. Back in MAgic Duel. Did they even leave on particularly good terms?
 
Twilight’s attitude struck me as kinda condescending when Trixie apologized. She accepted it but she didn’t seem all that eager to hang out with her.

I may agree with your views of like this episode, but don’t you think that’s a bit of an unfair statement?

I’m not into vore whatsoever and I’d honestly keep myself as far away from it as possible, but I neither saw it as a thing that derailed my thoughts during the episode, nor will I fault the episode for making it part of the plot just because I’m not into it. It feels like you’re saying “a pony got tied up with rope, I hate bondage so the episode is worse because of it”

I kinda now want a Dumb-Dumb fic where she actual dies in the stunt with a suicide note about how she couldn’t let go of her own pride and ego and it caused her to lose the one pony she loved. Starlight is then mentally scarred.

Fall Weather Friends was an ep that was just a pissing contest between AJ and RD too. PEople seemed to like that episode.

Twilight doesn’t seem to be comfortable around ponies that she could’ve turned out like, had circumstances been just a bit different. Sure, she’ll forgive and be friendly towards them, but not really be friends (until the very end). This has happened with Moondancer, Sunset Shimmer and now Trixie.

Precisely! So why not enjoy THIS episode? :)

10 out of ten so much callback.

I personally liked that Glim Glam finally found some sort of “comfort zone” when around other ponies and even making jokes about her evil past.
 
So far this episode was good for Starlight’s development.

I feel like Twilight response to Trixie was a bit reasonable. Remind you last she saw of Trixie, she came up and said she was sorry, Twilight reluctantly accepts, and Trixie just kind of fucks off. Sure it kind of gets overplayed as the episode goes on, but the reasons why she is doing it seems acceptable to me.

It really seems like people are coming down on this episode for nitpicky reasons.  
It had its flaws but it was a solid epsiode.  
As to Glimmer’s character I think people are getting ahead of themselves when calling her a mary sue.  
She is good at magic but that seems like a flaw as well as an advantage.

true, but the Miz seems o git Trixie more, with both of them being egotistical little shits (I still love them).
 
I see Rainbow as a high flyer, like RVD.
