Yeah they are pretty close in popularity but I would guess Rarijack is SLIGHTLY more popular overall right now. Still they are both VASTLY more popular than anyother AJ ships.

Well it depends, AppleDash has more fic but Rarijack has more art basically. AppleDash got super popular much earlier so it had a head start there, nowadays their fic output is pretty close.

It’s just that everytime I see a picture of Applejack paired with someone else, someone always comments “oh but what about poor Rarity” like Rarijack’s canon or something.
 
I don’t hate the ship, but it’s become so mainstream that some people even consider it canon when it isn’t.
