If you don’t listen to worthwhile criticism, you can never improve as a writer. You have a lot of potential, but this is still very low grade writing. The room for improvement is why many of us are still here with criticisms, even if you don’t accept criticisms yet. Its not like we’ve forgotten that horrible ‘Twilight’s poor husband’ fiasco you wrote and your justifications for not listening to other’s criticisms. XD

See, this is what I don’t get. Every time something nonsensical comes up, we’re told it’s a wacky doodle crazy future and that us why it is the way it is. That’s fine, it works in a comedy…but then we have scenes like this and the one before wherein we deal with themes of revenge, mercy killing, and moral ambiguity, which are not lighthearted topics at all. Hell, this apparently shares a universe with friggin DARK SOULS, one of the bleakest video games ever only made comedic by how balls hard it is. The two concepts just don’t gel together.

That’s true, but the way Applejack has been going on and on about how dark isn’t evil and that LAJ needs to embrace a larger view of the world around her, only to flat out admit that the darkness is more than likely to be more harm than good - if not admitting that she herself may well be evil, we’ll see - seems to be contradictory to her own point. Then again, setting Little AJ on a revenge quest over her father’s death at the hands of a fake monster, and then being surprised she isn’t more morally flexible, demonstrates just how frankly stupid Applejack is here.
 
Oh, but let’s not forget WHY she’s saying all this. She’s telling Little AJ this to punish her. She’s doing this to twist the knife, to cause her pain. Applejack flat out states that this is her way of punishing her daughter for doing what she was raised to do.
 
So either Applejack is an idiot, a bitch, or both. Good job proving the undead aren’t evil! OwO b

Applejack and Rarity kept their minds, in that they didn’t go mad from the respective dark powers that extended their lives. Not so much Applejack’s fiancé. ^w^

Wait, doesn’t this invalidate Applejack’s whole rant on how dark magic doesn’t make people evil? I know I know, probably a mercy killing, but I’m just saying that going into the Everything is Gray territory, telling your daughter that dark magic doesn’t equal evil, and then following up by saying that she was the reason she thought darkness was evil in the first place, may not have been the best idea.
 
Then again, this IS Vavacung-land, where up is down, black is white, messes are clean, and Unbirthdays come but once a year.
