I also think it would have made more sense to pair him with Fluttershy.
(They’re basically inversions of each other, which could’ve made for a great angle for the romance.)

I feel like their personalities and designs complement each other much better. Not to mention that they share an interest in nature, which could have helped them to form a connection.
Also, Humanshy is pretty forgettable when it comes to the movies, and a subplot with her would have helped her to stand out more.
Too bad that they went with Sci-Twi simply because of that stupid plot twist at the end of LOE. .-.

Regardless of whether or not “forced” is the right word, it just doesn’t feel natural to me.
(This ship got off to a really bad start in EqG4.)
& it’d help if I didn’t find this short boring when I ignore my feelings on the ship.
& it’s not about what’s actually realistic, it’s about what’s interesting to see on screen.
But how is it being forced, at least currently? They have some similar interests, they find each other attractive, they enjoy each other’s company and are exploring more about how they get along while at the same time putting forth a lot of effort to trying to make the other comfortable (Twilight’s detailed plans, Timber studying the stars for her). What part of that is forced, especially for two adolescents who are just starting to date?

I’m complaining because I feel like they’re not doing very well at the moment.
They should either step down on the idea or step up & push the idea more than they’re doing now (hopefully keeping in mind that they need to make the characters work together & that they shouldn’t just force it).
It’s because it’s the creator’s intention that I’m okay with it. I want to see what they can do with this pairing and no amount of whining is going to change it.
It’s a bit different when it’s from an official work since some feel you have to see it when it’s official (so you don’t miss anything, basically). & in that case there’s at least some reason to complain about at the very least how well they pulled off their intentions.
& you just described how many Transformers fans enjoy watching the Bay movie continuity installments, heh. So I sort of feel like that’s a bad example.
I’ll be honest the title gave me false hope that the writers ended up thinking that this ship doesn’t really fit together. Like what I think of it: (Two relatively good characters that don’t fit on the same ship.)
Other than that, I found this short to be a bit dull. Which is bad since I feel they should’ve used this short to at least try to make the opinions of people like me flip around.
Just feels like it’s only supposed to appeal to people who already ship TimberTwi, to me at least.
There weren’t any stand out jokes, moments, or anything for the non-shippy side of things either, I feel.

I know, but the way how both said “starstrucked” at the end makes it seem to me like that was originally supposed to be the title.
“Star-crossed lovers” is a turn of phrase used to describe a couple that fate conspires against, originally used to describe Romeo and Juliet. It’s actually very appropriate given what happens in the short.
I think the title was supposed to be “starstrucked”, but someone made a mistake.
You’d think that’d happen considering the title is Star Crossed.
My main objection to this short is it being titled that.
Mainly ’cause this short was kind of dull.
