Generally, VLC is only media player worth using. (Sometimes MPC-HC in torrent cases where some idiot mis-encoded or used a bizarre codec combination in the container). Totem Player is sometimes useful if on weak hardware and using a very light distro.
 
Poor old Winamp is long-dead. Foobar is crap. I don’t know why some people swear by it. itunes is a COMPLETE ABOMINATION.

Because censored swear words can be funnier sometimes than actually swearing. I don’t know if it works in this instance, but it’s something I have found to be true many times.
