It’s not known if she’s as strong as regular twilight, but regardless, she showed that Chrysalis is rather weak at the moment and open conflict is not something she can do at the time being.

If Starscream Sparkle was the same strength as regular Sparkle, then Chrysalis NOT trying to kill/eliminate them was the right thing as it meant she could be overpowered rather easily.

And if Starscream Sparkle WASN’T as strong as regular Sparkle, then that basically ensure she would have been eliminaed in any conflict in the open.

Hence her working behind the shadows.
