Description

Thanks to FanOfMostEverything is to blame for this comic because wrote a dank comment on the previous piece . I didn’t copy it all word for word though, because then it would be (comparatively) pretty jarring if I wrote my (worse quality) dialogue later on.

I have a few more ideas on this topic though, might draw ’em out some other day.

Will nightmare moon continue trying to un-buck this timeline? Will she succeed in finding the 6 weirdo horses? How about the spark? Will she find the spark?? Who knows…

Shamelessly Shamefully copy-pasted poses. Sorry.

I know, right? Inspiration is what fuels art; sure, you can paint or draw when it’s a commission, but it will be half-hearted. Probably better than a quick doodle, but much worse than if you were doing a grand painting on your own volition.

But that’s the thing - a commission, for example, is someone telling you what to create. An artist, of any kind, has the power to create anything they want, in the medium that they chose. But, just like entering a shop to buy some sweets with a small amount of money in your pocket, you realize that having too many options is worse than having just one.

What doesn’t help is that, what we imagine in our heads is never the same thing that we put on the canvas in the end. What might start as one idea, can end as a different idea without proper guidelines.

To be inspired is to have the will to create something, because if uninspired, an artist will create a soulless husk of a painting. Inspiration is one of the, if not THE most important things for an artist.
