Profit is the first priority to most companies, especially entertainment, most of them would prefer money over justice and fairness, because you can eat money for living for a while, but justice is not edible in short-term.
 
What you said is true, I can see that. Sad but true. Hasbro went with their survival mechanism of profit rather than being loved by community of fans at that time. Although community satisfaction my not pay off fast, but it forms better friendship, which means more “magic” than just short-term profits. Sadly, it’s hard to see that in a competitive world, especially in the hyper-capitalist American world.
