Seems like that’s a theme with Norse mythology like Baldur and the Mistletoe.

The blood of a dragon is supposed to confer youth and perfect health, but it also opens your eyes to the true nature of reality and the inter-connectedness of all beings therein. You can’t bring yourself to kill anyone even in self defense, and you can’t ever be at home, because you are at home everywhere. Every minute of existence becomes a waking revelation. Most would go insane confronted with visions of such beauty and horror. Of course rarity was already quite aware of the relationships between everything, and I guess her natural sense of feng shiu might have preserved her sanity…

Immortality. Remember Sigurd from Norse Mythology; no harm could come to any part of his body bathed in dragon blood. The problem was, while he was bathing in it, a leaf fell onto his back before he drenched himself in the stuff, so that was his weak point.
