It be funny i someone cast a spell to fuse Applejack on the chimera as punishment for how she mess with Applebloom, and to show her how she felt.

Chimeras have the ability to fuse with other creatures and make use of their most dominant physical traits, in this case Applejack’s apple-bucking thighs. It’s a temporary thing though, since the longer they stay fused the more control the one they’re fused with will be able to exert, so eventually they’ll throw her out and everything will be back to normal. They can also do this to “borrow” DNA for mating, so this eventual offspring will have some Applejack in it as well. It should be 62.5% pony, and 12.5% everything else, but there’s always the chance that there’s some other DNA from other creatures floating around in her since chimeras can reproduce with anything and have completely absurd lineages XD

Something I always found interesting about Trixie is she largely existed outside of the plot. It’s like she’s a real person stuck in goofy cartoon world and actually doesn’t want to be involved with these strangers who happen to be “the main characters” that everything revolves around. She tends to not care about the shows “values” or events and tends to instead be motivated by fairly mundane and realistic self-interests. Like in Boast Busters she acted like a normal entertainer and was purely reactive to antagonism from others and backed down the second they left. Then between Boast Busters and Magic Duel she was like “well Ponyville was a bust” and just tried to move on with her career, but people kept harassing her about it. Then Magic Duel was like “well if my career is wrecked because I lost to this asshole who’s better at magic, I’m going to get a power up and best her so things will get back to normal” which actually worked, save for the little “it’s an evil artifact” hiccup, and then she just sort of got on with her life again :P

It’s actually why I hate that No Second Prances had her deliberately screwing with Twilight. I think it would have fit so much better with Trixie’s character that she just genuinely made a friend, which again was dragging her back into the events of the show, and Twilight was just being paranoid and overreacting as Twilight is wont to do. It would have been really fascinating that this character that’s never once been antagonistic for the sake of it somehow became the show’s most popular antagonist XD

And I think the writing staff knew that about Trixie as well. But couldn’t decide where to put her in the story after Magic Duel. To think that of all ponies, it was Starlight Glimmer who would help Trixie find important relevance.

lol as a part two just go nuts and make it even harder on yourself by also adding a Dragon, a random reformed changeling, a Gryphon, aaannnndddd an Alicorn. Chimera’s need to be able to appeal to ANYCREATURE. x)

Mostly it’s the simplicity of their designs. Like, I actually really like Rarity but she’s much more difficult to draw so I don’t draw her as often. That said, I do think Trixie has the best design in the series bar none, even after they “standarized” her design in later seasons. Great color scheme, I am enamored by a good harmonic color scheme, and I love the little subtle differences like how she has unique eyes and a unique horn. Like, Trixie was destined to become a fan favorite :D
