Oh yeah? Try the aeiral missions in Drakengard 3, I’ve heard they’re actually worse than Drakengard 1.

…Ladies and Gentlemen, the best possible end of Drakengard! I guess there’s a ray of hope in any dismally depressing game! :D

Ok so the gameplay on the ground is TERRIBLE but I was so interested in the story and characters that I kept playing. I wanted to get all the endings (this game is in its own class of disturbing things I wanted more) so I looked for a guide. I found that LP that LV-04 posted. Usually I hate Let’s Play type walkthroughs A LOT however I could tolerate The Dark Id’s style since he actually has humor that makes me laugh. I wanted to see more from the Dark Id so I went to somethingawful forums (only for his threads not a big fan of the other things on there); it was there I started seeing all these signatures and avatars of colorful animals.
 
I wanted to know what these adorable creatures where so I goggled searched the images. After seeing a lot of porn I thought…….so this is a fetish thing and was turned off.
 
A few weeks later those signatures and avatars kept bothering me so I looked again to find out more.
 
Somehow I found the cupcakes story. Did not really like it but then I found crookedtress’ ask pinkamenadianepie tumblr. I loved grim dark humor and liked how he gave a personality to the character.
 
So I broke down and checked out a few PMV’s
 
I liked the music and animation movements. (I am a sucker for detailed hair movements when a character walks) I downloaded a bunch of stuff to my PSP to listen / Watch later.
 
After another week or so I wanted more so I went back to Youtube and Google to find out there is a massive cult following.
 
So I broke down and watched the first episode.
 
I left a comment on there that said.
 
“If I got caught watching this I would be more embarrassed than getting caught watching porn.”
 
It got nearly 500 thumbs up. Also I think I may have started a meme or accidently used one since I saw hundreds of variations of that comment later on.
 
It was not until the 3rd episode that I really got hooked and I went uphill / downhill (however you want to see it) from there.
 
Now I help and actually host meetups / conventions, very involved in the fandom at this point.
 
If you are ever in the NYC area drop me a message our group (the one I put together) is actually a very nice, intelligent, reasonable part of bronies unlike what you may have seen on the internet.

Drakengard was the reason I got into ponies. LONG story.

Oh, and actually have some decent, fun gameplay this time around.

If nothing else, Drakengard was…honest about how grimderp it was, lol. And the ground missions were passable, if generic as fuck; tis the goddamn aerial missions which rustle mens jimmies so.

I dunno, I kinda liked Drakengard because of how fucked up it was.  
Though yeah, the gameplay was pretty awful.
