They should have released the film before terminating the contract.
From what I heard, there was supposed to be a 5th movie, which would have had the real human Sunset, but that’s all I know.

Makes you wonder. Did they have unused story and unfinished animation in the pipeline that could one day be leaked online?
If I remember correctly, the people who were making the EQG series, the contract expired, but was never re-newed, or something like that. (Hopefully someone can correct me if I’m wrong.)
Yep she could either return back to the place she once called home or stay with the friends she’s made.
The idea of Sunset with James Earl Jones’s voice is just weird.

Fair enough, but they’d still have needed something else so it doesn’t just come out of nowhere for the song and vanish for the rest of the movie.
Eh. The movies are a series. They don’t have to tie up every loose end in each one.
I don’t think it’d make sense to do that without the rest of the subplot.
But if we had the same opinion on everything it’d start getting creepy. Agree to disagree?
