My German friend came up with five different ways to translate the phrase, all of which are as correct as the others. And each one having their own case they could be translated in. We talked for a bit on which one was best and narrowed it down to two which were considered the most natural. He did tell me what this one meant, so I knew going in. This also had - of the final two - the better flow because it was shorter and simpler: the other we had was some nine to ten words long and I was afraid it’d be too much of a cluster fuck for a simple design as this.
But now it says “If you don’t sleep you can’t have a nightmare.” which is missing the point entirely. It should be “Wer niemals träumt kann keinen Albtraum haben.”

It’s been a while since I had used it to any large effect, outside of single words. Though a couple German-speaking friends said it was good enough, so I went along with it.
