Polls did find that 53% of Americans did not approve of the NFL players choosing to kneel or sit for the Anthem, though. And it shows when the NFL had record low viewership during that period. But my point is, why? Why out of all the ways to bring attention to a cause would you choose one that served only to anger people and create a huge division? It didn’t help anything.

Was it 53% of americans or NFL viewers? I highly doubt it was 56% of all americans, not every american watches the NFL. It’s probably just American Football fans that just want to watch dudes beat each other up over a handegg.
