In other Death Cult news, the North Carolina Senate passed, among other detrimental measures, a bill banning anyone from wearing a face mask in public — even for health reasons.
The vote obviously followed party lines and all amendments proposed by Democrats to grant exceptions for health concerns were shot down without explanation.

For additional context, this bill would repeal health exceptions made to an existing ban on wearing masks in public - which was originally enacted in 1953 to disrupt the ability of the Ku Klux Klan to operate. Any person wearing a mask while “committing a crime” (AP’s description) would face greatly enhanced penalties.
Republicans pushing the repeal say these measures are necessary to crack down on the pro-Palestine protests on college campuses and repeating the common talking point about “it lets people commit crime.” They insist that it won’t be used against people who mask for health reasons because cops and prosecutors will have discretion on who to charge under the law. But I’m sure everyone here knows how that tends to play out.

The issue is that the ban is so broad it also makes illegal for people to wear masks for medical reasons (such as a weakened immune system) and you can’t trust the cops not to abuse that to detain people.

Also works with real shakes, the small ice particles break off bits of the “wall” so that makes the twizzlers and lime great for handmade shakes.
The subsidies that make plastic straws so cheap should be taken away and shoved into these instead!

Former Trump White House aide Johnny McEntee posted a video to Tiktok in which he claims that for his own amusement, he keeps a stash of “Hollywood money” to give to homeless people so that they get arrested when they try to spend it. He boasted “I’m actually like helping clean up the community.”
I looked this up, and if I’m reading this correctly, knowingly possessing, using, or making counterfeit currency with the intent to defraud somebody is a felony punishable by up to 20 years in federal prison, plus additional state-level penalties where applicable.
