Yeah there’s no way in hell the t.v. show would do something like that and I wouldn’t be looking forward to the ensuing shitstorm from the fanbase if if did happen

This goes against everything Sunny stands for and what her father would want. She is kind and honorable torwards ponies even when they don’t listen to her and even if they might not deserve those things. She keeps on going. But she never resorts to bitterness. To her, she just wants every single pony to be better, no matter who.
Honestly she’s probably a good role model for our very emotional youth (that includes me).
It’d be understandable for Sunny to be bitter and spiteful torwards those ponies, but she takes the higher road. Something we could all learn.
I can’t imagine Sunny having an antagonistic attitude with someone, unless that pony is annoying her in an extreme way. And I like how she was written in the film. It could have been very easy to write the rest of the town in a way that they could agree with her all the time, but no. She has motivations and the town has other motivations.
Sunny could have been a Mary Sue in the film and I’m glad the writers didn’t do it.
Looks like we’ll get new MLP comics, probably G5, from Image Comics in 2023. They are known for Spawn, Savage Dragon, Witchblade, The Walking Dead, Invincible, Saga, Jupiter’s Legacy, Kick-Ass etc. Though this could be fake so take it with a grain of salt.

it’s not about making Sunny a hyocrite, its more the fact that while ML has tackled racism before, outright saying that racists don’t deserve kindness would probably be a bit too much of a heavy topic for the kids (also given the social/political climate we have today… thered be a LOT of shitstorms and such if they ever done that)
I think the writers have shown some level of prejudice in the movie. The earth ponies have helmets and tools especially designed to avoid pegasus and unicorns. Same thing with pegasus and that tennis ball.
I think it’s a very light yet necessary approach to talk about these heavy themes without being as heavy as some adult films that talk about racism.

I don’t know if I would say she would be a hypocrite, but I would say she would be giving up her qualities like kindness to an extent up. And she would be more bitter. And I think for Sunny she has the type of attitude that wants to change ponies not to condemn them.
To Sunny, she probably doesn’t feel angry about racists. She feels more sorry that they would believe something so meaningless.
Sunny is like a mother who wants all her children no matter how opposed they are to get along. She would probably blame herself for failing to convince the ponies more than the ponies.
To Sunny it’s not about tearing others down. It’s about elevating and inspiring them to better themselves.

That Tree is so OP, I swear. It can prevent some magical roots from growing, it can trap helpless kids under their roots just to put them under tests and it can detect when ponies are sus and kill them and now it survived onto the next generation? I want to know more about this Tree now.
@WyrmSpawN
Sounds like you don’t like that the tree can do other things besides what you want it to do. Are you the cteator? Director? Writer? Don’t act like you know what the tree can or cannot do. If they want to add new powers to it, so be it. They can do that. Or is there a rule that says the tree can only do certain things?
I don’t see how it could work, even disregarding the fact that they’re enemies. Sunny and Sprout’s worldviews are fundamentally at odds with each other.

I know exactly what image you’re talking about and it’s shipping, people will ship whoever they want regardless of if it makes sense in the show itself or in real life. It’s all just personal fantasies where real world logic doesn’t have to apply.
