Very little was even wrong with the description (pretty much just fan animations being mentioned in the long one).  
It’s a tagging job at this point. Whoever feels up to it.

What do we tag pictures of comic with?

Meaning comics in general or pictures of/from the official IDW comics?

All comics in any format are comic, anything from the IDW comics also needs idw, official comic, spoiler:comic, and spoiler:comic(issue number).

No. Screencap is reserved for stills or very short animations from official cartoons, shorts or movies.

IDW is also used on images about IDW, so while comics imply IDW, IDW doesn’t imply “official comic” … unless I’ve misunderstood your question, in which case never mind.

There are also officially-released FIM comics that are just stills from the cartoon with word balloons and sound effects added, and there are a lot of G1 comic scans; those are all official, but not from IDW.

Then what tag?

You mean if it’s a single panel or cropped image from the IDW comics, rather than an entire page or multiple panels? Yeah, in that case I’d say it should still have idw, official comic, spoiler:comic, and spoiler:comic(issue number), but not comic, since it’s just a single image and comics are a sequential storytelling medium.

Is friendship power just another term for ponied up, because it looks like it. I’m out of the loop as far as Equestria Girls stuff is concerned, but the most I can make out is that it might refer to yet another outfit change for the girl’s ponied-up state, and I’m not convinced that needs its own tag.

Why are images of spoiler:s08e14 tagged “spoiler:s08e18”  
was it mislabeled as such?

Well, it’s probably because Yakity-Sax is episode 18 of season 8.  
 
It’s been labeled with spoiler:s08e14 due to site policy about ordering the episodes by the order they’re aired in rather than the official order. There’s a discussion on whether or not to change it going on over here.

Is angery some meme tag, or is that just people constantly spelling “angry” wrong?

Based on some of the images featuring the same face emoticon. I’m leaning on it being some form of meme.  
Googling for “angery” gives that face as a result, so yeah. Guessing meme. I’d just leave it on images featuring that face/ an imitation of it. And just fix it on regular angry pics.

It’s a deliberate meme, not an accidental misspelling. It indicates either a level of anger so froth-mouthed it can’t even spell itself correctly, or a twee and cutesy dismissal of the anger being displayed.

Does creampie versions of an image always count as alternate version even if both were released at the same time in the same post?

Yes. Alternate Version is basically the “edit” tag except it’s only for work done by the original artist.
 
The most “vanilla” version of the pic would be the original.

Is this Semi-Grimdark?

In a word, no. Shining was mind-controlled in the actual episode, which is safe. Now, forcing somepony to do something horrible with your mind control certainly can be semi-grimdark or grimdark, but just having shining mind controlled is not semi-grimdark, this is basically just a scene interpretation which amps up the green effect.
