There’s gotta come a point where the show just dies out due to overexposure. They’ll end up over-promoting it and over-airing it to the point where even the kids who watch Cartoon Network (who I assume are the audience that keep the show going) get sick of it and stop watching, and the show just implodes in on itself…
 
… I don’t know when that day will come, but it’s gotta happen eventually…

I’m still salty over the bullshit they pulled with Beware the Batman. We got a decent Batman show (it may not have been Batman: TAS quality, but it did some interesting things like giving Batman a different sidekick and exploring his lesser known villains), which they eventually just stopped airing for no reason other than it wasn’t Teen Titans Go. Thankfully, Toonami came to the rescue and gave the show a new home… only for the dick-head higher ups to force the show off the whole channel completely. At least Toonami gave it a last minute marathon so that all the episodes could properly air.

I still remember how the creator of Beware the Batman warned us action cartoons were not only dying but being killed. If only we listened to him then, if only we knew it wouldn’t stop at just action cartoons.

Don;t forget how well Young Justice was doing but they canned it because it had more female viewers then they wanted.  
It was doing fine with both male and female viewers but they wanted only male viewers…

I just hope action cartoons don’t die out completely. Samurai Jack Season 5 on Toonami and the Castlevania cartoon on Netflix give me hope, but it still really sucks to see perfectly good action shows get screwed over.

Speaking of the Castlevania cartoon… I want more.
 
Not just more seasons of the same show (though that would be nice), but I want more shows like it. More awesome video game adaptations. More awesome adult-action cartoons. Just give me more, damn it!

Okay, how many times has this been debunked here?
 
You know who came up with that whole ‘female/male viewers’? It came from Paul Dini, who was giving thoughts about his own show, Tower Prep on CN. He never worked on Young Justice. Yet people lap up his comment like it’s gospel. Greg Weisman has stated otherwise. The toyline with Mattel wasn’t selling and the show lost it’s source of funding. The truth of the matter Action cartoons are more expensive to produce than regular cartoons and cannot survive on ratings alone.

The toyline was barely out when the show was canned, so them not selling being the reason is billcrap.  
Many places had just got them when the plug was pulled.  
So there are fact to debunked that clam, or show it’s even bigger billcrap reasoning.

That makes more sense then just the toys not selling, as I said it was noted some places just got the toys when the plug was pulled so something else had to be the reason.

It was never because of the girls. The cold hard truth is Young Justice was canceled because of lack of funds, and you could tell it was an expensive show (look how much detail it had) to make compared to lets say Regular Show or Adventure Time. Again, this is coming from Greg Weisman who created the show so his word has more weight than Dini who was never part of the crew. Greg has debunked this twice, why would he lie?

He’s saying how the toy sales where the reason, and as I said a number of places only got them at the time the plug was pulled, so Greg is not telling the full truth if there wasn’t time for them to sell well to begin with and he says that was a factor.  
Sounds more like somthing on the lines of the boldfaced lie that was given by that one Capcom representative about way Megaman Legends 3 was canned, you give a reason that doesn’t add up very well.

So, I’m sitting here watching the ‘KISS meets Scooby-Doo’ movie and I’m wondering if I should be horrified or in awe of the band’s ability to stick their logo on anything and make some cash off of it.

There, that just proves my point that not everything starting a major celebrity will be successful and/or remembered.  
To answer your question though, you can if you want to. I remember watching the show on TV but at the same time, I don’t remember much from the episodes, I just found it forgettable. Maybe you’ll like it?

Considering that Sym-bionic Titan was supposedly canceled because CN simply didn’t think a toyline for it would sell despite not even MAKING a toyline for it… I wouldn’t put it past CN to have canceled Young Justice for a similarly flimsy reason back then.

Like Beware the Batman, Sym-Bionic Titan was another show that got its start on Cartoon Network, eventually found its way to Toonami, and was then just banished from the channel entirely. Though at least Beware the Batman got a DVD/Blu-Ray release, whereas Sym-Bionic Titan so far has nothing, unless Discotek Media decides to pick it up and release it.

This also happened to Green Lantern: The Animated Series and Tower Prep. For Titan’s case though, it was less that it didn’t sell toys and more that it was a financial failure and they wrote it off through their taxes, meaning that they can NEVER rerun the show again or sell merchandise again.
