I’m trying to figure out if there was any actual malfeasance here, or if it was just typical bureaucratic idiocy run amok. The DOJ and its agencies are supposed to be independent of the more political parts of the executive branch. That’s why Lynch leaning on Comey and Trump leaning on, uh, everyone were such big deals. If that independence goes both ways, with the FBI refusing to apprise the White House of ongoing investigations with national security implications, well… that would be bad. Not as bad as an active coverup, but still pretty bad. “This is why 9/11 happened” bad.
 
The case itself was wrapped up in late 2015. You’d think people would have put two and two together at the time, given the timeline. (2015, minus seven year investigation, dot dot dot.) Making hay of it now seems suspicious, but hey, that’s politics.

I’ve read it, and Clinton is not the sole party involved or even the biggest. Cyborg in linking the videos has only linked to that section of the video as confirmation of his own biases and not the part where the uranium transport companies were paid off by Russia to the effect of the 2010 treaty.

The whole Russia vs USA thing isn’t really about whether Russia is morally correct or not, the reason why the US is ‘against’ Russia is because Russia is a competitor to the United States imperial power. Yes, Russia has invaded other countries and interfered with elections, but the USA has done it even more than Russia.

If I recall right according to the original thirties law which established this whole ritual of flag etiquette it’s technically illegal. But actually enforcing it means treading on the constitutional right of the individual to demonstrate and make a statement by not doing the accepted ritual.
