Thing is, the Russia/UK thing doesn’t really affect us directly–unless any of us are former Russian spies lying low in the UK. That other stuff does impact our daily lives, so we’re more inclined to talk about it. “All politics is local.”

And giving how Censorship happy China and Xi seem to be (Hell, he had China block Winnie the Pooh on social media because a little kid posted that he looked like him), I feel like China is going to try and make the news say everything is A-OK, despite what the residents would try to say.Why is China so censorship heavy in the first place?
 
Also Russia seems to be banning the British form filming there now. At least it seems like the UK can’t have news crews in Russia now.

I wouldn’t put all the potential regulation power on the Chinese people, though, unless a very, very high number of Chinese are disaffected by the regime. Tiananmen Square mostly failed.  
What i think should happen is more international condemnation, albeit even that comes at a risk, considering China’s prowess.  
Basically, we’re in a dilemma.
