No, we never said that. We said that if you’re having trouble with them, you can explore and progress into the story and try again when you think you’re ready. The lighting wyverns aren’t meant to be fought until much later. Also, have you returned to the Asylum yet?

Yeah Other M is legendarily bad, like imagine if the next Super Mario game nearly killed the franchise even with all the positive press of Odyssey backing it up, and had people saying Shigeru Miyamoto shouldn’t be allowed to do anymore dev work on the series, that’s how bad Other M was,

Wait for the Hydra until you have a good bow, since it’s a bitch to fight otherwise. And The Rock is beyond the gate near said Hydra, and you need to learn how to beat him for his OP ring. Be prepare to lose souls. Also, learn how to parry for the Black Knights.

The thing is, Metroid has always been a good but niche series. It’s not very popular in Japan, as far as I know and even in EU and USA, it usually just sold well but never amazingly good.
 
So yes, a bad game can kill a good series. Also, Metroid had two bad games in a row that nearly killed the series, Other M and Federation Force. But we don’t speak of that last one.
