I have had similar issues with friends and talked them out of suicide and a friend who was a decade older than me who could see nobody else than me but I could not return such feelings for reason I don’t wanna discuss and it broke him but I didn’t run away I helped him stuck with him every step of the way because that is what I have learned from mlp and what a true friend does not go away and wish the problem goes away in time but I guess you have to be somewhat mature to get that

Yeah, that’s why Moon left her in the first place. She cares about her very much and doesn’t feel it’s beneficial for her to be friends with Luna because of who and what she is: Master Xehanort. (I’m joking-ish. Comparing and contrasting Moon to Xehanort takes far more effort than I have currently. XD )

Aha i get it now this is why Luna is woona before the flash back she tried to visit moony and failed. Don’t get why though she clearly was not her friend a friend would have helped her not run away as they say friendship is magic find friends that care for you Luna

Where did you get the impression that I said Luna is weak? I’m saying that this series implies that Luna has not experienced much loss, therefore she’s not used to it. Therefore, when the loss does come, she’ll be emotionally unstable, prone to depression, therefore, suicide is an option.
 
I’m also just replying to a drastic reaction with a drastic reaction but that’s another matter entirely.

I’ve seen this before. A GIF of Moon without her helm and bat wings instead of feathered got around 2-300 comments of one or more anonymous users complaining about nothing in particular. Not that this is an occurence exclusive to Derpibooru. XD

I think you all took this backlash way too far, there are plenty of bad Luna stories to complain about, why are we complaining about a genuinely Interesting direction, are you all afraid of new ideas? Sorry that the artist isn’t portraying Luna as you all like it, I think we should simply see where the road takes us first.

You realise right that Luna is the evil one she never changed when she became nnm she did all of it herself. She took dark power and it didn’t make her any different she wanted to do all of that it was only when the elements took it all away from her that she became humble from going from so high to so low and it made her accept friendship. And she has been working tirelessly to make up for that in making friends with her subject and helping them and being among them for 5 seasons now. This is why really everyone is kinda but hurt with you right now

Nah…It actually because life experience. While Luna avoid document, politic and befriend with mortal friend. Luna just turn away from it. NMM face all of it. Unlike Luna. Nightmare Moon have so much to redeem. Since she is what all people in Equestria fears the most. Pony don’t fear “Luna”. What they actually fear is “Nightmare Moon”.
 
Nightmare Moon is a nightmare legend that keep telling from generation to generation of pony. How scary and how cruel she is. Pony even create the festival about of her. And now she come and live among them. Just thinking how much she have to do to make pony accept her? It easy to forgive Luna. But not easy to forgive her dark side. The nightmare monster.
 
The more she face her fear. The more she face the hard time. The more her heart and mind get stronger.

Yes. The last time she got rejected made her gone mad and fallen to the dark path. That why Celestia and NMM have to make sure that she will not be like that again. They have to train Luna’s mind. To make her stronger. Or she will keep falling into the dark every time something don’t go as she want.
