And the same is said, (and to some degree is true) for Fluttershy and her fans, yet if anything it gives those who dislike Fluttershy even more ammo and still the negative comments come out yet compared to Starlight, hardly a word is raised in defense and Fluttershy has a bigger fanbase than Starlight.
I would rather Starlight get called out on the actions she’s done in a more serious fashion, to let there be actual consequences of the things she did. The way they are doing it, with joking fashion, devalues her role as villain and the episodes in which she is meant to be the antagonist as well as bring to light the rather abrupt (and rather poorly done IMO) redemption they did with her.
Pointless, repetitive whining is much more common under images of Starlight Glimmer than under most other characters.
When someone does make a snarky or insulting comment under fanart of some other character, more frequently than not they will get called out on it.
I’d say the “thin skin” descriptor would apply just as well to someone who sees an image of a character they dislike and can’t stop themselves from leaving some negative comment.
And going back to your original comment, the episode made it clear that what Glimmer did to Big McIntosh was wrong, Applejack was obviously peeved by her actions, and she was made to reverse her spell almost immediately afterward. Would you prefer that they portray her as the paragon of perfect pony friendship?

Well Some fans of Glimmer (I admit) do get a bit crazy, but it’s probably because Starlight may just have a bit more of a fan base compared to the other characters. It also has to do with behavior of some people I guess.
@Mrmildock
Fair enough it can be annoying to those with thin skins but I see negative comments, posts and image for countless other ponies yet hardly a word is raised otherwise to them, so why is this any different?

You’re allowed to voice your opinions, but this Starlight Drama is just old news. The issue is, some people will still find it an utter annoyance no matter what. Leaving a simple comment that will be buried and forgotten about is irrelevant. The issue is that with several new Glimmer images, there’s always several who are going to leave negative comments. It’s fine if you dislike Starlight, but going onto countless images just to post that you don’t like her is just getting annoying. Especially in fan art that someone worked really hard on.
@Mrmildock
Regardless, am I not allowed to discuss my dislike? Why not just let me leave my comment, ignore it and let my word fly off like dust in the wind? These comments are going to be buried by a ton of other pictures and their comments and have little impact on anyone, so why not let me voice my displeasure?
Yeah thanks for pretty much mind fucking into constantly talking. Yeah no laws or ethical/moral codes were broken in the slightest just because he didn’t fit your stupid bill of what you needed for a friend.
Oh my god no one cares what you think.

2) Not as much as I’ve seen with Starlight.

“Did you see him repressing me, then? That’s what I’ve been on about …”

You’re just beating in a dead horse at this point.
Why? She’s a controversial character with many a trait that people find fault with. Am I not allowed to voice my discontent?
You don’t talk shit about Starlight…
And EQG is fine, but pooonieeees, man!
She’s not shamelessly replacing Sunset. We got 3 movies and one on the way that have all the Sunset Shimmer you want.
