this is liar. She was never pregnant with that horrible creature, in the end is just friendship.
If things will go the way they do, it may actually be canon. I mean they will never show her pregnant, but if by the end of the show, they will somehow confess and become romantic like Big Mac and Sugar Belle, we may assume that this will happen in their universe.

They also tweeted him when he was in the middle of a breakdown caused by some other things about Spike and Starlight shipping.
Sorry, I’m just sick to death of arguing with people who confuse their headcanon with show canon. Didn’t think you were defending him, just thought you were arguing against me a bit there.
My point was not only are pregnancies not going to happen in the show for obvious reasons, interspecies ones are doubly-not happening. If you won’t see a mane character get pregnant, you sure the heck ain’t going to see a pregnancy between two different species like that with a mane character. Not with the intended audience.

I was never debating whether she could be pregnant or not. Entire theory was ridicuolous from the start. But so is being 100% sure there will never be a canon permanent ship on the show. People said same thing about established character getting pregnant or the show even implying fluttercord with blushing back in earlier seasons.

The reason I was confused by the whole interspecies thing is that it’s frankly irrelevant. The core cast is never going to go through pregnancy during FiMs run, period. Bringing up the interspecies thing seems a bit… Odd.
And yes, of course I know the intended audience doesn’t change. I was talking in term of G4.5/5. And if 4.5 ends up being set in Equestria, then the shipping debates can rightfully switch gears from discussing the impossible (Canon ships in FiM) and onto the possible (Canon ships in 4.5)
But yeah, Esteban doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

The fact that there will never be a canon ship during FiMs run is not an opinion, it’s a fact.
Its just your lone opinion and we leave it at that.
Haven’t you see the guy I’m replying to? The whole subject was Fluttershy being pregnant by Discord. Pregnancy’s not going to happen at all. Let alone interspecies. That’s double-beyond the scope of the intended audience.
You realize that just because the kids who started watching this show at the beginning are now six years older, it doesn’t change the target demographic, right? The intended audience is still the same age bracket.
That’s my point. This guy is claiming FlutterCord is literally canon.

I’m not in the mood to argue with someone who’s claiming his headcanon is actual canon. But let me give you a hint: Calling someone “biased” in this case means nothing especially when your argument is based on your own heavy biases. Yeah, I’m biased alright. Biased towards show canon. Not FlutterCord shipper headcanon.
Dude, like, did you not see Jim Miller calling the theory about this whole thing stupid? I mean you’ve got one of the show-runners right there saying this crap is stupid. I don’t know how you can get any clearer than that.
You, like many hardcore shippers, are looking into things way too hard. Spike is a little kid, he has a little kid crush on Rarity. That’s a real thing that happens. Their “relationship” is nothing more than that. Just because shippers slap them together and draw clop of them doesn’t mean they’re anything more in the series. That doesn’t make them “a couple.” All it makes it is a one-sided crush. Also, “FlashLight” was nothing more than stereotypical “high school teen romance trope” shoved into the movie because it was expected of the genre the movie aimed for. It made zero sense (“Hi, I’ve been a human for five minutes, I don’t even know what a human is, but OMG, is he a hunk!”) and it got humorously trounced in LoE. They even point out to Flash that Twilight was a pony in the same scene, just to further hammer in the mocking.
There are hundreds of thousands of people who swear the US never landed on the moon. Doesn’t change the fact that we did.
Lots of people wrong =/= Them suddenly not being wrong.
Hasbro doesn’t do the show. DHX Media does. And again, read way too much into something. Ever stop to think maybe she was just a little embarrassed by his emotional scene? That suddenly Fluttershy, you know the extremely ridiculously shy one, is uncomfortable with so much attention on her at once? No, you run straight into “they’re banging!”
No one in the mane 6 will be in an official romantic relationship with anyone in the show, ever. Just because there are male characters does not mean they have to hook up with others.
You seem to be the typical hardcore shipper who looks too far into the smallest of details, and supports your arguments based on circular reasoning. “This is canon because (minor thing like blushing) wouldn’t happen unless it was canon.”
I’ve had far too many arguments with people who confuse headcanon with real canon, and are so utterly convinced that their headcanons are the real deal they’ll argue with the actual show-runners on these points. Which is exactly what the image above is about.

You are clearly biased and dismissing entire argument. The show will prove you wrong. The blush in S6 finale isn’t an accident or something that was secretly smuggled onto the screen. And interspecies implications were already a part of the series since Sparity and FlashLight. If you think that I’m the one being “insane” then watch any reaction or video related to S6 finale and see how many thousands of insane people out there who not only imply romantic chemistry but outright say its canon. You think that Hasbro made it just to mislead the audience? Or maybe you just don’t want to accept this sort of development? The only male characters developed on this show are Discord, Spike and Big Mac. Out of them only Discord is both focused and adult to act as the only piece of fertile land on a desert of shipping. Mane character will obviously never get to be involved with a one shot character like Trenderhoof or Blueblood. But Discord isn’t such a character and his friendship with Fluttershy grown from forgetting her name to getting jealous of her friends and to her blushing while he risk her life to save her. That’s the development from S3 to until now.

Not really accurate. Or at least, no longer really accurate. There’s a reason why canon ships are a thing in EqG and not FiM, and why I theorize that G4.5/5 will be just as ship happy as A:TLA and Korra. And that’s because the original target demographic is is 6 years older. AKA, they’re now old enough to become the most annoying type of shipper; the obsessive young tween/teen shipper girl.
However, FiM will not have canon ships ever because it has a format to maintain.
Both examples of large upsets to the status quo, yes. Both shocking events that sent shockwaves that still ripple through the community. In one case (likely both) they were the results of Hasbro wanting more toys to sell. They are not, however, the interspecies pregnancy of a main character. I’m sorry but to be blunt, if you think that’s something they’d do with a show aimed at the audience it is, you are insane.
Cadance is not a main character. Fluttershy is. And hey, guess what? More toys to sell. It was also handled almost entirely off-screen. Her pregnancy was announced and addressed in what, two, maybe three episodes? It wasn’t a running thing that would be the case for a main character.
FlutterCord doesn’t exist in anything but your mind. Discord was a diabolical misanthrope, to put it kindly, who never had a friend in his life and when he did, he became extremely attached to her. Nothing more.
You’re now speaking for the target audience? You think they’re actually thinking about “ships” like you do? You’re giving excuses as to why you think these ships are really a thing. Flash was always crap. He was the generic 2D token love interest. The jokes made at his expense later are a result of the older fans mocking him. It has nothing to do with the target audience.
Your problem is you’re mistaking your own headcanon as actual canon. Two people can be friends, even very close friends, without being romantically involved. To you there’s only non-friend, friend, and ship.
They’re not going to have any actual romantic relationships that end in pregnancy for any of the mane 6 on the show. They barely scratch at romance in general with EQG and that’s only because the audience it’s aimed at is older. And even then they didn’t do anything more than blushing until it was the AU version of the character rather than the pony original.
So they’re definitely not going to have interspecies romantic relationships with the mane 6. Having your own little headcanon ships is fine. But when you start asserting that they’re canon and that “entire episodes and dialogues have been written about them” when it’s just you looking way, way too deep into something, that’s your problem. Not mine.
