I’m not sure that’s how you find out if she’s a changeling or not. If you’re going to just give love, it’s probably all the more reason for the changeling to keep up it’s facade.
 
So basically
 
Starlight: “Trixie, I’m going to do this to test whether or not you’re a changeling.”
 
Trixie: “How does that tell you anything?”
 
Starlight: “If you don’t like it, you’re you.”
 
Trixie: “But what if I do like it?”
 
Starlight: “Then you’re either a changeling, or have some unexpressed feelings for me and/or are bi-curious. Either way, it’s a win-win for me.”
