Alright then. I apologize for the accusation, but I’m sure my initial reaction is understandable considering the uncanny similarities, lol.
It was not. I didn’t refer anything else than official art for Celestia.

I wouldn’t necessarily call it a trace either, but it’s also too similar to not have at least been used as a reference. If not then that’s one hell of a coincidence, lol. But again, it’s really no big deal. No point in making a bigger thing out of it… I’d be a hypocrite anyway since I also used to use other peoples’ drawings for reference when I was practicing how to draw ponies. Before that I traced from screenshots from the show. We all gotta start somewhere I guess.

While that looks similar I don’t think it’s enough to call it a trace. This pose is pretty basic honestly. It’s more reasonable to accuse OP of drawing inspiration from some frame in the actual show.
