Just a matter of making sure each node flows smoothly to the next. Usually, the fewer you can use, the better.
You do know this is a pony from the show and that some artist at DHX picked her colors, right?
Violet Twirl’s palette is exactly the mix of colors that are so hard to get right - sure, they’re complimentary, but getting it right? Super hard.
This is .. awesome.
There’s also something about your strokes that look so natural, like someone using a brush and getting a smooth, casual line that is so expressive - but you’re basically accomplishing that using math.
This is just staggeringly good.
