Pal, the only reason you’re still arguing about this is simply because you are of the belief that Sunset is Celestia’s daughter, and are too stubborn to let it go. Personally I agree with the other guy. We have no other canon evidence of whether Alicorns can only give birth to members of their own kind or not. So far, what evidence we do have points to ‘yes’. Therefore, until new evidence presents itself, the verdict stands.

Until we see further evidence, the only evidence we have and are likely to ever see is that if you have an alicorn mother, they produce alicorn children. We’re dealing with a dominant gene situation here, which makes sense if you think about the fact that alicorns are all three races at once. If you have dominant traits that favor horns, wings, and earth pony stamina, you can add whatever to that mix and it will still produce an alicorn.
No it is more like this, 1 Black-man & 1 Albino make a child & that child truns out to be Albino also & when someone says next kid you will have will be mixed the others say, no no no, it will be Albino as well.
Similarly, you have zero proof otherwise. That is my point. We have one datapoint. You’re basically saying “Well, this electricity came from the sky, but that doesn’t happen normally and it will never happen again” and expecting to be taken seriously.
We can certainly revisit the issue if another alicorn gets pregnant, but for the moment of all the alicorn pregnancies we’ve had one bouncing baby alicorn birth.

No we need more evidence for us to conclude that it is a garantie that Alicorns only give birth to other Alicorns or we can just say that it was a 1 time thing & you would have no way to disprove it.
If the only evidence available points to one thing, you do not ignore it. Absolutely reexamine if more becomes available, but science is not about ignoring things you don’t wish to see because it might disprove your theory.
That is why we need more evidence.

If we can not make it so that Hasbro puts foals inside all of the Alicorns then, for the sake of science we must see the birth of Princess Flurry Heart as nothing more than a 1 time event.
This is a land where friendship is magic and love can be purified by a magical flying unicorn or induced by poison. You have to acknowledge that your worldview doesn’t really apply.
And yes, you can in fact base a hypothesis on a single data point. You obviously want a larger pool to form a proper theory, but we can’t exactly ask that DHX get all of the alicorns pregnant for the sake of science.
That is not how either science or the force works.
We have a limited pool of alicorns, and only one has gotten pregnant. Now, if we somehow see another preggers, we can revisit the theory, but for now, 100% of canon alicorn pregnancies have resulted in Alicorn babies.
