You know, it’s easier to build the roads. You can don’t have to go in and out of the menu to place them. Plus, they look nicer.

Except parasprites can give you gems now sometimes. Why block them off after you get enough shards? Leave some open spaces away from town where you don’t plan on building.

I once thought like you, then came the parasprites…
 
I got so frustrated in the end that I edited the save file to give myself 1,000 magic shards. It took 300 of them to clear the swarms that had built up.

Since I mostly play this game for the aesthetic value of seeing ponies do stuff, I think I’d rather take my chances with a few parasprites than completely blockade my town.
