I’m sorry, are you trying to say it wasn’t rape because she consented at the start? The moment she took away that consent is the moment Spike should have stopped. That he didn’t means it was against her consent. In other words, rape.

The lack of common sense as of recent, for one. Everyone is taking something like this much better than they really should be. Pinkie Pie is probably the only justified one in this, and that’s cause 1.She’s kinda cuckoo and 2.She priorities friendship above everything else. Everyone else is just at least 40% dumber than they really are. Applebloom could be understandable due to the crush, too, and for wanting to make it work, but…
 
I was really hopin Big Mac would Deck him (or at least try to and for applebloom to defend him), but common sense has no place in this comic, it seems.

AB did consent in the beginning and she has feelings for him he’s not some stranger who raped her in some back alley and Spike was legitimately suffering from temporary insanity so this is far more complicated then “Spike = bad, everyone else = good”.

Try that in RL.

i find it quite amazing that one page, big macintosh was almost hitting/raping spike, and the next it’s emotional time

This story is BAD, to me at least, because it fails to follow any kind of logic and common sense. Also, the author is unapologetically hand waving away all of Spike’s misdeeds and vile actions .

I’m really liking the story the author did a amazing job with it really hope he continues because this is incredible

I dunno about you, but I’m reading it just to plumb the depths of the writer’s and artist’s souls to see just how much gunk accumulated at the bottom.
 
And no, this comic is many things, but it is FAR from good. Boring and butchered dialogue, rather offputting art, and characters so fucking inconsistent that they may well be possessed by an apartment of ghosts.

Spike didn’t actually rape her - but he guilt-tripped himself into thinking he did. Apple Bloom, on the other hand, has expected them to be a couple from there on.
 
I think the author just hasn’t realized those little things about their ages (and the age of consent) until it was too late. He COULD have just said that the characters are roughly of the same age category… but, bizarrely, went along with the rape issue.
