The fact they are meant to be the same personalities and that they are the same 5 that Twilight befriends in both worlds - it’s not really harming any of the pony-side of things. It’s an implied destiny that if there were other worlds in this multiverse, those 6 would always be connected, making it much stronger.
They just won’t be named as Twilight knows them as ponies.
