All we know is that they were around over a thousand years ago, but we also know they weren’t there when Equestria was founded, so why are there automatically “ageless” instead of extremely long-lived like dragons?
For what is worth though, if 100 years really counts as a “nap” for a dragon, then there really shouldn’t be much difference from long-lived to ageless.
Yes. Celestia was only there to welcome Twilight.
The hell do people keep getting this idea that Celestia made Twilight an alicorn, did you watch the episode? It was the elements of harmony yo.
That’s different from my headcanon of immortal vs. mortal alicorns. I always assumed Celestia could only make mortal ones and that she and Luna were the only immortals.

The crew will sidestep any sensitive issue that can be sidestepped.
Call me when it’s addressed in the show.
(Protip: it won’t. None of the M6 will die and she will never have to deliver on her claim.)
I don’t blame them, but since we haven’t been given any evidence on-screen of there being more than one kind of alicorn (natural born as opposed to ascended, for example), then as far as I’m concerned, until proven otherwise, alicorns live for thousands of years.
“Friends for life” indeed.
Alicornification probably comes with an extended life span at least. Kinda like Time Lords: They’re not really immortal, but there’s not much of a difference to their “normal” peers.
Yeah, she’s not immortal.
