Most likely because he looks like a bad guy and the artist wasn’t caught up with the show. That, or he got mind controlled by the bug queen somehow.
Discord is chaos incarnate and a wild card. He is like almost every version of The Joker.
He must have been probably insecure to Fluttershy because of that one-episode Pony (the Rastafarian Hippie named Tree Hugger) in his episode.
Because Fluttershy refused to date him.
I’m more baffled at Discord’s redemption in KCAFO myself.
This cover isn’t for the issues about the villain team… it’s just there to showcase several characters at once, and like many covers is not connected to the contents.
How fast and abrupt Discord betrayed everyone for Tirek still baffles me to this day though.
Reform a villain and you’ll turn this show into a soap opera.
I mean, look at Fluttershy, her life in Season 4 is a soap opera because her friends are implying betrayal on her because of Discord.
Discord wouldn’t be Fluttershy’s true love if Cheerimac wasn’t canon.
Granted, it’ll cause an inevitably backlash from the crystal ponies and cause a possible revolt against the alicorns but at least it’ll be less of a surprise at this point.
Covers don’t have to make sense… and we all know how much Discord loves not making sense!
