Mr.enter seems to have calmed down a lot in his recent reviews so he’s not as bad as he was I think.😕

He’s nowhere near perfect or as good as a reviewer as RebelTaxi, but he does make some interesting commentary on a lot of the stuff he reviews. As a person who still watches him, he has actually calmed down and is not prone to anger as much. My biggest problem with him now is that he often tends to drone on and on about an episode instead of actually picking it apart piece by piece. Either way, I watch his videos just to kill time and I’m actually looking forward to his Fame & Misfortune Review, since the last time he reviewed MLP was the Season 4 finale.

I’ve watched some of his more recent videos and he has changed a bit. He still has opinions that I personally don’t agree with, but he does it in a way that doesn’t make me want to activly hate him. Not like in his early days where he would go after the writers and creators of shows and say that they are terrible people and don’t deserve any work.
 
I’m still not expecting to agree with most of his Fame and Misfortune review though.

Can’t say I’m excited to see MrEnter review F&M as an Animated Atrocity. Besides the fact that I find him really whiny and see him being saying the episode “too mean” to the fandom, there are loads of episodes worse than F&M in S7 alone.
 
Also around the time he called Season 1 of Korra an Animated Atrocity killed any chance of me ever taking him seriously ever again

Same here to an extent. I enjoy some of GoldenFox’s reviews and SketchyBug’s reviews are pretty decent. But the rest I’ve stopped watching for a while.

It’s a shame that Mr.Enter’s reviews have gotten really mediocre in terms of quality. I used to watch his reviews but honestly, I find certain aspects of his reviews that turned me away from watching any more of his animated atrocity series. :<

Also I find Captain Celaeno quite the hottie. Even more so than Tempest Shadow in my opinion. :P

thing is, rainbow dash showed the kind of leadership qualities the wonderbolts apparently value: being selfishly motivated and letting someone else take all the blame for mistakes you played an equal part in. spitfire encouraged lightning dust to excel at any cost, and then punished her for attempting to excel at any cost, so she could promote the soldier she favored. they’re the same flying squadron that uses a history test to screen potential members; it’s safe to assume the military code of intelligence, loyalty, values, and ethics are entirely lost on them.

I don’t know about all of them, but the vast majority hold little interest to me. Especially the ones that can’t differentiate between analysis and review (or for that matter, between a review and “15 minutes of complaining, snarky commentary, and/or making suggestive remarks about any two characters in proximity to each other”).

Except she actually never did that. Spitfire may have talked to the entire group of trainees about how the Wonderbolts are an elite unit, and she tells Rainbow Dash the reason she made Lightning lead pony was because she liked to push herself a little harder, but there is no point at which she encourages performance over every other concern.

Or, she punished Lightning for a tactic that almost killed several civilians, and rewarded Rainbow Dash for showing that her commitment to principle is stronger than her ego, her competitiveness, and the very thing she wanted her entire life.

The history test could just as easily be a single part of the entry process. Besides, wanting a recruit to be knowledgeable of their history doesn’t negate any of those other things. Especially if the loyalty and values of the Wonderbolts are an essential aspect of their history.

i’m just saying spitfire and rainbow dash were every bit as guilty as lightning dust. besides, rainbow dash only cared that her friends, who were entirely at fault for bumbling into a live military training zone without warning or permission, were in danger. either spitfire didn’t know about all the dangerous shit lightning dust was doing, or didn’t care: both are equally bad. dust fucked up, but she deserved a chewing out or extra duties at worst while rainbow dash also deserved punishment for going along with it for so long and/or not reporting it. due diligence, and all that.
 
and if the history test would determine whether or not she could join then it’s a screening process. the same way you can pass the aptitude test to be a pilot but fail the eye exam.

The worst thing Lightning Dust did before the tornado was when she rushed through the obstacle course knocking out everyone else in the way.
 
Other than that Lightning Dust wasn’t actually that much of a problem.
 
The tornado wasn’t even a problem. It was only a problem because a bunch of people who showed up out of nowhere and got caught in it.
 
Demonizing Spitfire in this episode sums up a lot of Rainbow Dash episodes. Find one of the nearest targets and make them look as terrible as possible in order to make Rainbow Dash look better/less guilty by comparison.

I know I won’t agree with ALL of what he says, but I’m interested in his commentary on it. How’s THAT for an unpopular opinion?

It can’t be any different normal military bases. I mean your allowed to enter with permission(though you probably wouldn’t expect a rogue drone to go crazy)
 
I don’t see why the mane 6 showing up is such a big deal, the mane 6 always seems to be allowed without issue. Only time “civilians” was ever an issue in the entire series was when RD’s parents showed up, and even that’s hand waived pretty quickly

It’s really only similiar in the area that someone gets unfair punishment while the idiots get off scottfree. It’s only slightly better because Lightning was more of a douche.
