You could argue that before The Beatles, Elvis and the other rock n roll icons were the real trendsetters in changing music cause if it wasn’t for the same, music would’ve been stuck at Frank Sinatra and big band.

To be fair, that era of ELO did give us “Calling America”, a pretty good song.

Congratulations to Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign for their third and first number one song respectively with “Carnival”. Kanye had “Gold Digger” and “Stronger”, but he was also featured in Katy Perry’s “E.T.” which made the top spot. Ty made the top spot as featured in Post Malone’s song “Psycho”

Song I think is a bit overhated just because it’s by Kanye and his very, controversial views. I think the song is passable quality wise and nowhere the worst song he’s made.

Right? It would fit if it were, like, the Pet Shop Boys, but not ELO.

The original logo is full of color, vibrance, and personality, and more importantly it actually resembles the letters it’s trying to spell out? I couldn’t look at the second logo and see it was supposed to be ELO.

Another way that helps understand the Beatles’ influence and popularity is something I discovered recently; there’s a video where it plays all the #1 hits from 1959 to 2023, and if you’ve heard the hit songs that were popular between 1959 and 1962, before the Beatles broke out, their music was genuinely a breath of fresh air and breathed life into the otherwise stale scene.

You know, I initially thought that the Beatles were something similar to the modern pop artists, as in their music was good but not like, super crazy good and their reputation as legendary musicians came more from their massive fanbase

Such a loss, so young, she had a brilliantly unique voice that other’s have tried to mach yet never succeeded.

On this day 61 years ago, American country singer Patsy Cline perishes in a plane crash near the town of Camden, Tennessee in the US after performing a benefit concert for a local radio DJ who died in a car accident a month prior. Also killed in the crash were fellow country singers Cowboy Copas and Hawkshaw Hawkins and the pilot. Cline would be one of the first country artists to cross over to the mainstream with her 1961 Top 20 hit “I Fall To Pieces” and other subsequent songs that would also become hits in the pop charts. She was 30 years old.

I personally think he’s okay. His style of pop punk is more trap infused and has hip hop elements, in other words a more contemporary sound. If you’re expecting something similar to the 90’s pop punk sound like Green Day or Blink-182 or even the early 2010’s style like All Time Low or 5 Seconds Of Summer then this isn’t that. I like some but not all his songs.

Bruce Dickinson new album ended up a good one while Ministry improved from the last but it was still a stinker with bad lyrical work
