Everyone agreed that the story for Borderlands 3 is weak, but the gameplay is as always top-notch.
Look, I’m fine with killing Maya but do they really have to make it in the most dumbest way possible? I mean, Roland went out like a champ!
Also, Lilith is dead so good riddance since she caused a whole lot of problems.

It is. The twins have a neutered version of their Siren ability. Luckily for them that ability was to leech off the life of other beings (so going by naming conventions I guess their ability is Phaseleech?) Troy can only leech the life force from other Sirens, while Tyreen can replenish her own by leeching the life of anything. This typically meant Tyreen buffing herself with the life from random victims while Troy, who will die if he doesn’t replenish himself, usually leeches some of that extra life force from his sister.
Oh and Troy’s life is tied to his sister’s, but not vice versa. So even though he’s kinda breaking the rules of Sirens, he’s still kinda getting a raw deal since that same loophole is killing him.

That makes some sense, though the question is how a Siren has access to her powers, and is it affected by the XY chromosomes? Why haven’t it diminish in the brother if it only appears in females?

Okay, that makes sense I guess. What about Tannis suddenly being a Siren? When one dies the universe just picks another? I’m pretty sure there’s a limit to how many Sirens can be in existence at once.

It is, but a quirk between the two gave Troy a loophole.
Specifically, he and Tyreen were conjoined twins at birth. Tyreen was the real Siren, but since Troy was technically an extension of her he was able to leach off her powers. When they got seperated Tyreen’s Siren powers got split between them.

Apparently in BL2, there are lines of dialogue from Krieg (plus the Meat Bicycle short) of him being into Maya, including one of him admitting that he wants to live the rest of his life with her and Tina, hinting that he was her father before he went insane. It’s sweet in his psychotic way and I love it.

Krieg doesn’t show up. You just get audio logs, but supposedly he was getting better…also funny you mention that. I play Krieg in BL2 while my friend plays Maya.

The only sirens we have seen and are told about are female, plus the name Siren having origins with female monsters doesn’t help that at all, so it does feel like an asspull.
